    Analysis: The undrafted second-year safety out of Florida A&M began the season splitting his time between a depth role on defense and special teams, but Bell moved into a starting role Week 6 and never looked back. He filled the hybrid linebacker/safety role that had previously made an IDP asset out of players like Keanu Neal in defensive coordinator Dan Quinn's system, so Bell's 2024 outlook could depend heavily on whether Quinn returns to Dallas next season or takes a head coaching job elsewhere.

    Analysis: The hybrid linebacker-safety produced double-digit tackles for the second time this season as he continues to provide solid deep-league IDP value in Dan Quinn's scheme.   • Eight tackles in defeat

    Bell recorded eight tackles (six solo) in Sunday's 22-20 loss to the Dolphins.

    Analysis: Bell finished second on the team with eight stops, reaching that mark for the first time in four games. The linebacker has stepped into a starting role in his sophomore season, producing 82 tackles, three pass deflections and two forced fumbles over 15 games so far.

  • Paces team in tackles Week 13

    Bell logged eight tackles (four solo) in Thursday's 41-35 win against the Seahawks.

    Analysis: Bell played on 84 percent of Dallas' defensive snaps in the victory and led the team in stops. His tackle total has been up and down throughout the campaign, as he's recorded seven or more stops in five games but has also posted four or fewer six times. Bell's role does seem to be growing, as he's logged at least 73 percent of the Cowboys' defensive snaps each of the past three weeks.

  • Leading tackler in Week 11 win

    Bell recorded a career-high 10 tackles (six solo) in Sunday's win over the Panthers.

    Analysis: The undrafted second-year player has slipped into the hybrid safety/linebacker role in a Dan Quinn defense that has led to IDP value for plenty of others, and Bell's workload has only grown since Leighton Vander Esch (neck) landed on IR. In five games without Vander Esch on the field, Bell has collected 33 tackles -- a 112-tackle pace over a full season.

  • In line to play Sunday

    Bell (calf) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Giants, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

    Analysis: The second-year middle linebacker was limited in practice all throughout the week with a calf injury, but it now seems as if he's had enough time to move past the issue. Bell has appeared in eight games for the Cowboys this season, recording 41 total tackles, one forced fumble and one pass deflection.

    Analysis: Bell appears to be in jeopardy of missing his first game of the season in Week 10 with a calf issue. Unless he's able to upgrade to full participation at practice Friday, he'll probably carry an injury designation into the weekend.
